Do they sell Philips bits for this? Sorry for noob question lol but I'm a handyman not a mechanic and a lot of times I've needed something to drive philips or torx screws into wood in tight spaces... all I'd need for this to work for me is a conversion from a socket back to a regular drill bit... similar to the socket adapters that work for impact drivers with a 3/8" chuck on one end, then the square socket thing on the other end... any advice is super welcome!! thx in advance :-)

Bro I have those Mac ratchet wrench set they work amazing , believe me bucko I didn’t spend 650 on the sets just to use another tool to break it loose first I’ll use a hammer and they have been fine they are good quality and if it breaks you’ll get another one for free 😊

Do you happen to know if the torque spec for the bolts on the 2016 Crosstrek front stabilizer links is 44 ft lbs? I keep finding conflicting specs for this application. Planning to do them in a few days and some places say 35 ft lbs and some say 44 ft lbs.

I love my Outback but will not be purchasing another GICE vehicle to drive 10 plus years like my current 2011 Outback. Subaru must produce a pure EV Outback by 2028. I will definitely go with another manufacturer for my dispersed camping needs if Subaru cannot deliver an EV

Great video, as a retired mechanic I agree with you that fluids need to be changed. It saddens me that Subaru is going the same way as BMW claiming lifetime fluids. We all know how that turned out for BMW owners... Such BS.

Got my letter from Subaru yesterday saying that I’m now covered on this part for 15 years or 150k miles. I’m on a 2021 Crosstrek Sport. Hopefully if it does go out the replacement will be a much better part than what they are using.

Drill bits (drills) are machinist tools. NEVER buy tool truck brand drills. They are a waste. McMaster brand are going to be better every time. Get HSS and buy once cry once. They will last several lifetimes for mechanics. Chicago Latrobe, Vermont American, and Viking are the best. They are worth the cost and still are cheaper than the matco trash

Technically speaking a filter is a really good strainer.... while a strainer does perform a similar function as a filter, it's just s really crappy filter, but it does filter none the less. But I do agree with you that the object in question is NOT considered a filter, but it does act like one on a sense. So it is like a filter just not a filter. Good day Sir..... oh I love your videos

I still worry about head gaskets with over 100k on that Boxter engine. Same problem with Porsche

I am surpirsed they haven't changed over to air cooling and some sort of 2 stroke since the engine is only used for charging the battery and that would reduce even more weight and complexity. Granted the engines don't last as long as a 4 stroke with liquid cooling, but if they are only charging the battery once in a while engine longevity isn't necessary.

Mr Subaru is right about all these 5 things EXCEPT that Subaru DOES NOT make a minivan!!!! Get one of those in the line up and then I'll reconsider the Sienna! I have a 24 y/o Forester that I still LOVE - but sometimes you just NEED that minivan for big road trips! C'mon Subi, get on it!

Way too expensive to built and to maintain, and way too heavy. In my view this is a dead horse.

Current Forester is a 2014 with 114500 miles on it. Had the dealership change the CVT fluid at 50k( and they rolled their eyes at me too). And changed it again at 105k. My wife drove the car in town for the first 85000 miles, so I changed the oil every 5k-6k. Now I drive it to work which is about 27 miles each way. I’ve been changing the oil now every 8k-8.5k. I believe the type of driving you do should determine your change interval. My last vehicle had 265k on it and I only changed the oil once a year with 11k-12k miles on it. Still was only burning a quart of oil every 4500 miles when I sold it.

Do you think it's good idea to leave all the competitors cars and go for the cross strike which is still breathing normally without any turbo and very slow with 150 horsepower for the 2 liter and leave the xc40 for Volvo and leave the Alfa Romeo tenali for an example why I have to go for Subaru do you think

Quite honestly, I wish they'd stick all the EV stuff where the sun don't shine. The engines are getting more and more complicated, more expensive in producing AND maintaining and making it difficult to be able to afford them. Hell, give me back my '66 Chevelle SS 396. That engine I could work on, tear it down if necessary (which it wasn't) and they don't cost an arm and leg to maintain. NO ELECTRONICS. I feel sorry for young people who will never know how good it was.

What tool can I use to remove the %*#)(_*^$ rear subframe bushings for a 90's Subaru... The bushing wall is SOOOO thing... and I can't find a cup/plate that fits the bushing without tearing the bushing potting material...
